Passport to Wellness: Choosing Midlife Full-Time Travel as My Radical Health Revolution
The "why" of choosing full time travel in Midlife
Let's be honest. At 51, I was stuck in a cycle of burnout, chronic stress, and slowly disappearing dreams. While I have been a lifelong athlete, my body was craving a new challenge, my mind wanted more stimulation and honestly, my soul craved days filled with more joy, spontaneity, and adventure. The daily grind wasn't just wearing me down—it was systematically dismantling my physical and mental health.
Then, I made a decision that would shock most of my colleagues, confuse my family, and ultimately save my life: I chose to leave everything behind and embrace full-time travel as my ultimate wellness strategy.
Why Travel? Why Now?
This isn't about picture-perfect Instagram moments or running away from responsibility. This is a deliberate, strategic approach to reclaiming my health, resetting my nervous system, and redesigning my life from the ground up.
Full-time travel, I've discovered, is more than a lifestyle—it's a comprehensive wellness protocol:
Physical Renewal: Constant movement, diverse cuisines, walking-based exploration
Mental Reset: Escaping routine-induced anxiety, experiencing cognitive stimulation
Emotional Liberation: Breaking free from toxic environments and outdated narratives
Holistic Health: Natural stress reduction, exposure to different healthcare approaches

Welcome aboard. Our journey starts now.
I love this! It sounds exciting and adventurous to take your holistic wellness journey on the road. I'm looking forward to hearing about your adventures.
We're not doing exactly the same thing but in a serendipitous moment found a small off-grid cabin in the mountains that we plan to escape to refresh and recharge as often as we can.
I admire you very much for your journey into a new and liberating lifestyle. I think it takes a lot of courage. I was a young nomad during my college years, leaving the US to study in Vienna, traveling all over Europe all the way to Russia, then going to the Middle East to to discover my roots in Lebanon. Those years changed my life indelibly. I made it to 27 countries in Europe, Africa, and the Arab world and also to Israel.
Again, best wishes for a beautiful life abroad.
